Why settle for one day of celebrating when you can get three?
Saturday is the main event you won't want to miss, Friday and Sunday are pure bonus time for extra fun - come for as much or as little as you can!
Friday
Welcome BBQ
Kick off the weekend with cold drinks, great food, and zero formality. We'll be able to catch up, mingle and get into party mode*!
*moderate party mode, there's a wedding the next day!
When: Starting at 5pm til midnight (and not a second more, we need our beauty sleep!)
Where: Ranc Mackadam. Spodnje Duplje 1k, 4203 Duplje, Slovenia
Dresscode: Did we not say zero formality? It is a outdoors BBQ, and you're expected to dress as such! Bonus points if you wear a GAA jersey. Even more bonus points if you wear slav trenirka.
Saturday
The Wedding
This is it - the big day! Expect weddingy stuff, lots of dancing, and surprise or two!
When: The morning is free for everyone to get ready in their own time. We will start at 4 pm. End time: Unclear. They say sunrises are beautiful in that area.
Where: Ranc Mackadam. Spodnje Duplje 1k, 4203 Duplje, Slovenia
Dresscode: Cocktail attire / garden formal. More information in the home page.
Sunday
Recovery at Lake Bled
Nothing like a cold outdoors swim to renew your body after a night of partying! Chill by the shore, walk up to a viewpoint for the views, or - for the bravest of us - swim out to the island. There’s also kayaks available for rent.
When: We'll head towards Lake Bled sometime in the late morning (it's 15 minutes away)
Where: Lake Bled
Dresscode: Don't forget your swimming togs & sunglasses!
More useful information
All events (except swimming in Lake Bled, obviously) will take place at the venue, where many of us will stay during the weekend (Friday-Sunday).
The facilities (kitchen, restrooms, showers...) are available to everyone, at any time during the wedding weekend. Even if you're not staying on-site, feel free to spend Saturday morning chilling at the venue with other guests or perhaps you'd like to visit some beautiful places nearby (we have compiled travel recommendations here).
The logistics for the Lake Bled excursion will be dealt with once we know the numbers - if you're keen on joining just let us know in the RSVP form!
